Tara’s natural talent for math and numbers inspired her to pursue accounting in college, where she discovered a passion for taxes. After graduating, Tara gained valuable experience working in the restaurant industry and CPA firms, focused on bookkeeping, tax preparation, and tax planning. 

Tara joined Pathview Wealth Advisors in 2012, drawn to its flexibility, which allowed her to balance career and family. There, she deepened her interest in the strategic side of tax planning, aiming to integrate taxes into financial planning to make a meaningful impact on her clients’ lives beyond just preparing for a busy tax season.

Leadership at Pathview Wealth Advisors

By 2020, Tara was named a principal and owner alongside Juan Aguilar and Lorenzo Sanchez. Together, they are committed to improving the quality of their clients’ lives, helping them make strategic financial decisions that consider tax implications and benefits.

At Pathview Wealth Advisors, Tara leads the tax team and manages the firm’s Charitable Committee, which coordinates client events, team-building exercises, and firm-wide charitable initiatives.

Personal Life

Tara graduated from California State University San Marcos with a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting and a master’s in taxation from National University. She earned her Certified Public Accountant license in January 2011.

Tara grew up in North County, San Diego, where she still lives with her husband and three children. Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors, cheering for her beloved Padres, and listening to live country music.
